by OnePlus as announced earlier on Octorber 10 has started to roll out brand new OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 to OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 devices. This was just the tip of what happened today, October 14, when OnePlus released their Latest Flagship with some major upgrades.
Oneplus 8T 5G is the latest Smartphone in the OnePlus series. The Major Feature of this smartphone is that it will come with OxygenOS 11 out of the box. And on top of that, the OnePlus 8T will be the first global smartphone to launch with Android 11 other than Google Products. Isn’t that Great ?

We’ve introduced a new layout that moves touch controls closer to your thumbs for easier access, a wide range of Always on Display options to let you customize your interface, more intuitive animations and gestures to help you more quickly access important information, and other features that will let you enjoy a more well-rounded, personalized user experience.”

The new update of Oxygen OS 11 plans to bring fresh UI design with a more comfortable and stable experience along with optimization of various details.
- Always-on-display
Android users might have used always-on displays for a while now, but never like this. The new AOD options on OxygenOS 11 take your standard information display to the next level, with a wider range of choices to personalize your screen or improve your digital wellbeing. OnePlus partnered with aspiring design students from the Parsons School of Design at The New School to create a unique AOD centered around digital wellbeing. Insight AOD feature encourages users to spend more time enjoying life and less time unlocking their smartphone.
- Gallery
Oxygen OS 11 will also enable the formation of weekly videos with your photos and videos in the storage. Apart from this, the preview speed of images in the gallery has also become faster with optimized loading speeds.
There are many more enhancements that will be part of Oxygen OS like Gaming Mode, Dark Mode and Zen Mode.
How to download OxygenOS 11 on your OnePlus 8/8T?
As OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro users get a stable upgrade, all you need to install is head to your phone’s settings, tap on settings followed by system updates. Just tap on the download button and install the Oxygen OS 11 update. While the OnePlus 8T users will have the Oxygen OS 11 out of the Box.
