by EA and Respawn Entertainment has offered up the first details of Apex Legends: Season 15 Eclipse, which will be arriving on November 1.
As is tradition, the battle royale’s next seasonal update will include another new hero in the form of Catalyst, as well as a new map.

Apex Legends: Season 15 Eclipse – who is the new Legend Catalyst?
The latest Stories from the Outlands animated short gives us a bit of backstory the latest addition to the Apex Legends roster.
Catalyst – who’s real name is Tressa Smith – is the game’s first trans Legend, and she’s described as an “experienced terraformer and defensive conjurer”.
While Respawn hasn’t detailed her moveset fully, she does apparently use something called Ferrofluid to change the battlefield in her favour. There’ll be more on her as the season reveal progresses.

The website for the upcoming season teases it’ll be a ‘Stellar New Map’ that takes place ‘in Boreas’ shadow’ – believed to be the location glimpsed at in the Last Hope short above.

Apex Legends: Season 15 Eclipse – what else is new?
Another huge addition in the latest patch will be the addition of Gifting to Apex Legends for the first time.
The official website has already offered some insight into how gifting will work – but as a brief overview; you’ll need login verification turned on and to be at least account level 10 to gift.
You’ll also have to be friends with the recipient for at least two weeks – but the system will work regardless of what platform you and your friends are playing on as it supports cross-platform gifting.
